SS-31 (elamipretide) is a small mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide that binds cardiolipin on the inner mitochondrial membrane. In research it has been shown to stabilize cristae structure, improve electron transport chain efficiency, reduce reactive oxygen species, and support ATP production in stressed or aged tissues.

Protocol
Subcutaneous injection once daily. Typical research cycles run 4–8 weeks followed by an assessment period.
Dosage
Common research range: 3–5 mg per day subcutaneously. Some protocols use up to 10 mg/day short-term.
Reconstitution
10 mg vial: add 2 mL bacteriostatic water (5 mg/mL → 0.6 mL = 3 mg, 1 mL = 5 mg).
Always use bacteriostatic water (BAC), sterile technique and store reconstituted vials refrigerated unless otherwise noted.
